The Cape Winelands Biosphere Reserve has a new website which will grow rapidly in the coming months. It integrates with social media, providing users with a more comprehensive and up-to-date experience of what is happening and being done.
The first phase primarily addressed transferring content from the old to the new site, while providing a platform that will be able to provide users with a more interactive and compelling experience -- the next phase.Add a comment

An email from Shawn Berry to CWBR revealed surprising news that the Cape Winelands was submitted to UNESCO for World Heritage Site status in 2009 by Western Cape Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport. No-one at the CWBR was aware of this and the status of this submission is being pursued.

Mark Heistein heard from a lady visiting DelVera to buy olives about a nursery in Clanwilliam that had collected fruit trees to distribute in informal settlements, but didn't have the resources to distribute them. Bevan Thomas, one of the Biosphere volunteers, also heard about a second nursery that was revamping and no longer needed their indigenous trees.Add a comment
